General Data Protection Regulations Notice

Perkins & Perry have been working hard to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws in preparation for the EU’s General Protection Regulations coming in effect on the 25th May 2018

We are committed to complying with the new legislation and have been working closely with our clients and suppliers throughout this process.

With this in mind we are advising customers on the data we hold about them and why we need to hold this under article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

How is my information used?

We use your information to help provide our services and carry out the manufacture and supply of goods.  We will keep your recorded as necessary for the legal obligations such as Building Control warranties and insurance purposes.

The typical information we hold are contact details including names addresses phone No’s and email addresses.  None of this information will be given to any third parties unless approved by you beforehand and will only happen in case of third party work carried out on your behalf.

The information we hold are either paper based files for jobs that have been completed, this files are archived on our premises.  These files after a period of 10 years will be shredded.

Our database and computer job files are stored on a central server.  This and all our in house computers are protected by leading antivirus and malware software.

Managing my information

We are respectful of the individuals rights when it comes to their personal information, to this end we want our customers to know that they can have access to the information at any time and ask for a subject access request form (SAR) as per recital 63 of the GDPR.   Customers have the right to ask for withdrawal of their information at any time without reasons as to why unless the information is required by law or for legitimate reasons Perkins & Perry will honour this right within the required Period.
